Last week, GamesBrief posted part of a Twitter ‘conversation’ (read: argument) in which I took part, regarding the recent court ruling that BT must block access to NewzBin 2. One of the things that I mentioned, but didn’t really get a chance to elaborate on, is that I don’t think chasing after pirates is a good use of time or money. It seemed to be a bit controversial, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to expand upon my current way of thinking a little.

I kind of feel sorry for Jim Redner. Like an awful lot of people thrown under the wheels of the media because of a quote, Redner actually has at least a semi-pertinent point, but was hamstrung by emotion and a very, very poor choice of words. (more)

Every so often, I think: “Why Edward, dear. You do realise that you’re just sitting on that stupid domain of your stupid name, yes? Why don’t you do something with it, rather than just squatting on it like one of them Japanese toilets?”
